How we choose what to cover

We cover products people commonly compare in our four areas. We do not limit coverage to products that pay us.

How we rank

Finder tools rank by two things only: how well a product matches the answers you give, and what it costs. Commission rates are not an input to any score, and our tools do not receive them. When two products score equally, they are ordered alphabetically.

How we rate

Ratings use a one to five scale. Each review lists the sources behind its ratings, such as the seller's published specifications, independent audits, and our own use. We say which is which, and we do not claim hands-on testing we did not do.

Prices and details

We check prices and terms on the seller's own site and show the date next to them. Prices change often, so confirm the current price before you buy. Pages with data older than 60 days are flagged for review internally.

Payment for placement

If you find an error, tell us through the contact page. We fix confirmed errors and update the date.
